An honest market comparison
Some J-1 programs charge teachers directly. CETUSA’s published budget sheet (figures reviewed Oct 2026) lists program fees of $1,995 for 24 months or $2,495 for 36 months, plus $75 per month for insurance, and a $995 J-2 dependent fee plus insurance. CICD materials list program pricing from approximately $2,255, with some partner fees beginning around $1,000; applicants should request the current written schedule before committing.
EPI, TPG Cultural Exchange, Participate Learning, and Global Teaching Partners also advertise $0 teacher placement or sponsorship fees. Against those programs, Gaur Vision Group’s differentiator is not price: it is specialization in special-education providers—SPED, TVI, O&M, SLP, OT, PT, and school psychology.
Costs that still belong in your plan
$0 placement fees do not make an international move cost-free (optional services from related companies are priced separately). Teachers should still plan for government and third-party costs, including the $220 SEVIS fee, an embassy fee of approximately $185, credential evaluation, travel, housing, and ordinary living costs.
Every Gaur Vision Group cost is disclosed in writing before commitment. Sponsor and government fees can change, so the designated sponsor’s written disclosure and official instructions control.
